Embracing Relational Practice in Our Work with Children and Families

At Charis Children’s Services, we believe in the power of relationship-based approaches to positively transform the lives of children and young people. That’s why we are excited to participate in the Relational Practice Webinar Series offered by LeavingCare.org. These workshops and resources have proven to be incredibly relevant and valuable to our ongoing work and the development of our team.

The webinars focus on building strong, therapeutic relationships with young people, which is a cornerstone of our care approach. Each session provides insights and practical tools that allow our staff to better connect with children and young people, addressing their individual needs with empathy and understanding. This relational approach not only strengthens the trust between staff and children but also helps us to foster environments where children feel safe, respected, and supported.

These resources align perfectly with our commitment to continuous learning and development in our service provision. By integrating relational practices into our everyday interactions, we hope to create meaningful, lasting impacts in the lives of those we serve. As we continue to engage with these webinars, we look forward to implementing new strategies and deepening our relational practices across all our services.
